A Compost Education Program

Strathmore High School has initiated a compost education program using the established greenhouse and gardening programs at their school. This included posting composting facts in the school and inviting more students to engage with the greenhouse.

Inside Education’s Cultivate summits are designed to increase students’ understanding of food security in Alberta through the exploration of sustainability, accessibility and technology and innovations in agriculture. The development of school or community-based projects that focused on agriculture opportunities in students’ communities were part of the learning experiences at Cultivate. This student project is generously shared by Inside Education. Find out more about their youth summits on their website.
