project AGRICULTURE values the trust of those visiting the Website or engaging with us online, specifically teachers and students, and recognizes that maintaining this trust requires that we respect and safeguard the security of users’ personal information, as well as consider choices for its intended use, and practice transparency and accountability in how we treat users’ information.
Collection of Personal Information from Public Users
You (the user) will be asked to provide certain personal information to us when downloading the full project AGRICULTURE teaching resources for each topic through the “Teach” webpage at www.projectagriculture.ca/teach/. When downloading these resources, we will ask you to register to receive occasional program updates and newsletters and will direct you to a survey. We may collect personal information such as your name, preferred email address and mailing address (i.e., your school).
Note that student users who download specific activity handouts, project guides and pages and thinking organizers will not be required to provide any information. However, students who access the Ask a Farmer external links provided on the Website may be required to provide personal information to the partner organizations of the Project Agriculture Education Group, such as their name and email address should they submit a question to these partner websites. Please check the privacy policy and terms of use on these external websites. A student interest survey is included on the launch activity webpage at www.projectagriculture.ca/launch/. This survey will not ask for personal information other than grade level and urban or rural setting.
If you (the teacher) submit a student project to be shared on the Website, you will be asked to provide personal information about yourself, your school and your students. This information includes your name, email address, school name, student’s first name or their group name and a project description. You must indicate that you have obtained consent of the student’s parent or guardian before submitting a project. The project submission form will not collect any personal information associated with projects without the express consent of the child’s parent or guardian provided to the teacher submitting the project. A sample permission and release form is provided on the Website at www.projectagriculture.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Permission_Release_Form.pdf.
As you use, or your students use, the Website, other information may be collected through the use of technologies common among websites and online environments. This includes access time and navigational data that will allow us to evaluate how the Website is used. This information will not be linked to any personal information you provide and will only be collected in the aggregate in connection with other users of the Website.
How Public Users’ Information May Be Used or Disclosed

No personal information will be included in these reports.
All survey results will be viewed on an aggregate – not personal – basis. These results will not be shared beyond the Project Agriculture Education Group and representatives of the Canadian Agricultural Partnership for reporting as required by the grant.
